Traveller Assist works with trusted helicopter providers around the world to coordinate helicopter rescue operations, and search and rescue efforts, while following strict aviation safety standards and the local laws of each country we operate in. In the event that a patient is at too high of an altitude for the helicopter to reach, or in a location that is difficult to land, Traveller Assist will ensure the patient is moved to a safe location where it’s possible to land, or to conduct a long-line helicopter rescue.

From the initial call for help, our experienced and qualified emergency assistance team work tirelessly to confirm the location of the traveller, assess their medical condition using our in-house medical team, determine if a qualified medical professional needs to be dispatched with the helicopter, and direct the nearest available helicopter asset to ensure a timely medical rescue, all while ensuring excellent quality of care and containing costs.

Traveller Assist has coordinated thousands of helicopter rescue operations around the world, including throughout the Himalayas in Nepal, Tibet, India, Pakistan and Bhutan - on Kilimanjaro in Tanzania - and in hostile environments, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti and Somalia.
